At Apparently, we believe that parenting in the digital age shouldn’t feel overwhelming or isolating. Our mission is to empower parents with the knowledge, tools, and confidence they need to guide their children through today’s rapidly changing world.
We aim to bridge the gap between traditional parenting advice and the fast-evolving digital landscape, ensuring parents are prepared to handle challenges like cyberbullying, online predators, digital addiction, mental health struggles, and cultural upheavals.
Our vision is to create a world where parents feel supported, equipped, and confident in their parenting journey. We strive to empower parents to raise resilient, informed, and compassionate children who thrive in both the online and offline world.
About Us
Apparently was created by two parents, thinkers, and builders with one shared belief: Modern parenting deserves better tools, because raising kids today isn’t just harder, it’s different.
Sahra-Josephine Hjorth
Education entrepreneur, learning strategist, and mother of two boys (ages 6 and 9).
Sahra-Josephine is a global voice in digital education and a founder whose work has been shaped by both innovation and motherhood. With decades of experience designing learning systems for governments, institutions, and startups, she’s always asked one question: How do we prepare people—especially young people—for a world that’s changing fast?
That question became even more personal when she became a mother.
As the parent of two boys who are growing up in a hybrid world of screens, algorithms, and infinite content, Sahra-Josephine approaches the digital space not as a threat—but as an environment we must understand, engage with, and navigate intelligently and empathetically.
The digital world isn’t something to fear—it’s something to learn. I co-founded Apparently to give parents the same fluency in their children’s online lives as they have in the real world—so they can connect, support, and lead with confidence.
